The decision to go with the Oak Street Mansion was the best decision! We rented the “whole house” because we had many... family members coming in from out of state to enjoy our daughter’s wedding. The house is amazing! The rooms were perfect and everyone had their space to get ready, gather, visit, and make many new memories. Stayed for 3 nights in the Southmoreland and really liked the room. Nice size, nice amenities, and a wonderful balcony... to sit and relax on. Two complaints: (1) the Nelson-Atkins museum was closed both days we were there (bummer), and (2) we couldn’t stay longer.Loved the room, loved the grounds, loved the park/ museum proximity. Wonderful location!! The well landscaped mansion is close to many art museums and surround by nice classical buildings.... The rooms were clean. We enjoyed the spacious living, dinning and sitting area. It would be great if an oven is available to reheat food. The vodka room would be better suit for a single traveler.read more

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday. It was me, my mom, and my daughter. It was absolutely perfect!... We stayed in the Westwood I and II and they were so clean and comfy. The bathroom was beautiful and huge! The owners were so kind and accommodating. Such a beautiful home and so close to the plaza and art museum. I can't wait to come back and stay with my husband. The room and bathroom were beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The bed in the Valentine room is a low platform bed,... which was fine for us. The mattress is very soft, so if you have a bad back, I would suggest one of their other lovely rooms instead. There is a mini refrigerator that works really well! They have 2 stemless wine glasses, an opener, and 2 glass coffee cups in the room, so no need to bring your own. The ambience is romantic and the location is superb. I highly recommend.read more

We rented the entire Oak Street Mansion property for our extended family to stay at while we were in town for a family... wedding. This is an outstanding property in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. The property and rooms were clean and over-the-top beautiful. Staying at this property was so much better than staying in a hotel and made the weekend feel like we were having a family reunion. It cost a bit extra to have access to the whole property including the kitchen but that was worth it! Special thanks to Justin who was so helpful making this reservation!read more

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary this year. The mansion is in great shape for being over 100 years old. We... stayed in Southmoreland room. It was clean and updated. The bathroom was amazing. The pictures do not do this mansion justice. Things to know there are no on site staff. Parking is tight for larger vehicles but there is plenty of street parking. Our check-in and out was easy without any issues. We plan to visit again.read more

We held our wedding earlier this year at Oak Street. After touring, the innkeeper was extremely difficult to contact... about getting a contract and payment set up. My emails were ignored and calls left unreturned. When I did manage to get her on the phone, she would say she was sending the contract immediately and then would never send it. This went on for two months until we were able to finally get our contract ironed out. When we arrived, some of the trash cans were full and the coffee pot was extremely moldy. When we were picking up the next morning, the innkeeper stopped responding to my messages about locating more cleaning supplies. It’s a gorgeous venue and worked well for a small wedding; however, the customer service by the innkeeper leaves much to be desired.read more
